Privacy Policy

The short version

The four points that answer most of what people actually want to know. The detail below does not contradict any of them.

Your text is not a product
What you paste into a tool is used to answer that one request. We do not sell it, publish it, or use it to train models.
No account needed to use the site
Signed-out visitors are not asked for a name or an email. We only hold account details for people who choose to create an account.
We never see your card
Payments run inside Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe and never reach our servers, so there is nothing here to leak.
No advertising trackers
We do not run ad networks or advertising cookies. Analytics is aggregate, and is there to tell us which pages are broken.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to paragraph-generator.com and the writing tools on it. It explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and which third parties are involved. If anything here is unclear, ask us through the contact page and we will answer in plain language.

2. The text you put into the tools

When you run a tool, the text in the input pane is sent to our servers and on to the AI provider that runs the model, so that a result can be produced. It is processed for that request and returned to you.

We do not sell your input, publish it, or use it to train models. Operational logs may hold a request briefly so that faults can be diagnosed and abuse can be blocked, and those logs are purged on a rolling basis. Because a request does leave your browser, do not paste anything into a tool that you would not be willing to send to a third-party service: no passwords, no card numbers, no medical records, and no material you are contractually required to keep confidential.

3. Information you give us

If you create an account we store the email address you register with and a hashed password, or, if you sign in with Google, the email address and basic profile fields that Google returns. If you contact us, we keep your message and your reply address so that we can answer you. Nothing on this list is required to use the free tools.

4. Information your browser sends

Like any website, our servers receive your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you requested and the time you requested it. We use this to keep the service running, to apply the free allowance fairly, and to stop automated abuse. An approximate country may be derived from your connection by our content delivery network. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from any of this.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for two purposes only.

Essential: keeping you signed in, tracking the free allowance so that it refills correctly, and passing the Cloudflare Turnstile check that keeps bots off the tools.

Preferences: remembering your last chosen mode, language and theme so that the tool opens the way you left it.

We do not set advertising cookies and we do not run ad networks. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking the essential ones will sign you out and may stop the tools working.

6. Analytics

We record aggregate usage: page views, which tools are run, and whether requests succeed or fail. It is used to find broken pages and to decide what to build next. The measurements are aggregated and are not used to build a profile of an individual visitor or to target advertising.

7. Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. When you buy a plan you enter your card details directly into Stripe's checkout, not into our site. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, which plan it was for, and when it renews. We never receive, see or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy governs what it does with your payment data.

8. Third parties we rely on

Running the site involves a small number of processors: hosting and content delivery providers, the AI providers that run the models behind the tools, Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for bot protection, Google for optional sign-in, and an email provider for account messages such as verification and password resets. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

9. How long we keep things

Account details are kept for as long as the account exists. Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server and abuse-prevention logs are kept for a short period and then deleted on a rolling basis. Support messages are kept while the conversation is open and for a reasonable period afterwards.

10. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it. Write to us through the contact page from the address on the account and we will act on it. Deleting your account removes your access to any active subscription, so cancel first if you also want billing to stop.

11. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.

13. Contact

Questions about privacy, or a request about your own data, go through the contact page. We answer privacy requests the same way we answer everything else, which is in person and usually within one business day.
