Terms and Conditions
The agreement between you and us when you use the writing tools on this site. Short, and worth the two minutes.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By using paragraph-generator.com and the writing tools on it, you agree to these terms. If you disagree with any part of them, please do not use the site.
2. What the service is
We provide online tools that generate, rewrite, summarise, expand, humanize and grammar-check text. The tools are writing aids. They produce language, not verified fact, and they can be confidently wrong about names, dates, figures and events. We do not guarantee any particular result, and we are not responsible for how you choose to use what comes out of them.
3. Your responsibilities
Use the tools lawfully. Do not use them to produce content that is illegal, that harasses or defames anyone, that infringes someone else's intellectual property, or that is designed to deceive people about who wrote it in a context where that matters. Do not attempt to bypass the free allowance, script the tools, or otherwise interfere with the service for other users.
Where you submit work to a school, university or employer, their rules on AI assistance apply and it is your responsibility to know them. Nothing on this site overrides them, and nothing on this site is advice about them.
4. Ownership of input and output
You keep the rights you already had in the text you put into the tools. As between you and us, you also own the output you generate, and you may use it commercially. You are responsible for checking it before you publish it. If your input came from someone else's work, generating a new version of it does not remove your obligation to cite or license the original.
5. Accounts and security
Some features require an account. Keep your login details to yourself, use an address you control, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account. We may suspend an account that is being used to abuse the service.
6. Free allowance and fair use
The free tier is metered by a token allowance that refills on a fixed interval. Paid plans carry a larger allowance. We may adjust allowances, and we may rate-limit or block usage that looks automated or that degrades the service for other people.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. Prices may change, and any change applies from your next renewal rather than retroactively.
8. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops future charges and you keep premium access for the remainder of the period you have already paid for. Fees for the current billing period are not refunded when you cancel.
9. Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable once processed. The one exception is a technical fault on our side that prevented you from accessing a premium tool, reported within seven days of payment. The full position is set out on the refund policy page, which forms part of these terms.
10. Our intellectual property
The site itself, including its design, code, branding and written content, belongs to us. You may not copy, resell or redistribute it. This does not restrict what you do with the output you generate, which is covered by section 4.
11. Availability
We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upstream provider outages and faults happen. Where a fault stops a premium tool working, tell us and we will fix it.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service or from its unavailability, including lost profits, lost data or the consequences of publishing inaccurate output. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Third-party links
The site may link to other websites. Those links are for convenience and we are not responsible for the content, terms or privacy practices of anything we link to.
14. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and where we do so for a paid account we will explain why.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version always lives on this page, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
16. Contact
Questions about these terms go through the contact page.
